Church Lane
Re-establishing Church Lane as a destination for art and antiques — a single city block where we test ideas that can translate to public spaces across the Inner City.
A block to experiment with
Church Lane is being re-established as a destination for art and antiques, with a series of improvements that together transform the already-pedestrianised street into one of the most popular public spaces in the Inner City.
We see Church Lane as a single city block where we can experiment with many of the ideas — seating, greening, signage, lighting — that can then be translated to other spaces across the Inner City.
“A single city block where we can experiment.”

WHAT'S NEXT
What proves itself on Church Lane — the seating, the greening, the signage, the lighting — gets translated to public spaces across the Inner City. The block is the prototype; the city is the project.
