More inclusive dance floors for Cape Town
Sheer City was born from the desire to see more inclusive dance floors and cultural events in Cape Town. By activating multiple event partners from all corners of the electronic music spectrum, an array of inner-city venues, and the streets of Cape Town, Sheer City set out to create an all-inclusive cultural event, and achieved it in its very first year.
Over 17 & 18 January 2026, six party and event families took over six east-city venues and a closed-off Constitution Street. The block-party-style event drew over 2 000 guests, with 45+ local DJs and performers joined by 8 international acts.
