Best Day Out

A day out in the middle of the city

On Saturday 29 November 2025, Best Day Out turned the Company's Garden into a festival for the day: five live bands and four DJs, twelve food and drink vendors, stylists, vinyl sellers, free rides for children, and 1 479 people spending a Saturday in a park in the middle of Cape Town.

We backed this one rather than produced it. Our part was the unglamorous half: helping the organisers secure the Company's Garden as a venue, making introductions to service providers, and putting funding behind it so the event landed in the inner city rather than somewhere easier to book.

That is the point of the support: an emerging event only becomes a fixture on the city's calendar if it can get into the city in the first place.
